5/9/2025: I turned 32 on Monday.

The weekend was perfect — I listened to Dr. Jonathan Michael Square and Alexandria Deutsch speak about The Almost Unknown, The Afric-American Picture Gallery exhibition on its opening day. The exhibition was exhilarating; almost too much to take in at once. I’ve set the intention to visit at least once more. Highly recommend.

A good friend met me for lunch at Longwood Gardens’ 1906 the following day. A good meal and some yap left me satiated. I’m grateful for a friendship that just flows.

Monday was full of energy. I relaunched my website (which I happen to be very proud of). After sharing that information and multiple posts over the course of a week, I couldn’t help but reflect on how social media feels in 2025. There’s a strong disconnect. Perhaps my inconsistency is to blame? But life is meant to be lived, and I cannot always perform for an audience.

Like a true Taurus, I am still celebrating myself this week. During a much-overdue deep tissue massage, I wondered if there is a better way to showcase my work. I thought about my introduction to the virtual world — MySpace. I’d spend hours curating my small piece of the internet.

So here I am, entertaining the notion of personalizing my own segment of the internet without depending on a social media platform. I’ll be back soon with more thoughts.

Ciao!
